This building dates back to 1854, when George Morcombe constructed it as a Cement Works. It was short lived and by 1864 was up for sale. it was never to be operated again and was later used as storage by the Hunters who kept their boats and Bathing Tents here. In 2000 it was taken over by the village council and the Heritage Centre was set up there. | |
